Five years ago, one of my friends from college approached me and a few other alumni with an idea: a show made-up entirely of postings from Missed Connections, the notorious shot-in-the-dark millennial matchmaking tool of Craigslist. I'd never really been on the website before, so at first the idea was a little odd to me. A show where we just read posts about people who had fleeting glances with strangers on the train at rush hour? It seemed a little mundane. Then I did my research. That's when I found gems like these:

i did not even know i was a dragon tamer until this special dragon came into my life. A special bond is created between a dragon and her dragon tamer that can never be forgotten or removed. I miss my dragon. I think of her all the time. If i stay busy, i wish i was sharing whatever it is i am doing with her as i did for several years. And when I am alone, it gets unbearable at times, not being with my dragon but being surrounded by her memories. The last time I saw my dragon was probably the worst moment of my adult life. The mistakes both of us made...

And that's when I realized that this was a brilliant idea.

After a several year hiatus, the gang (including myself) has gotten together to bring Missed Connections back to a New York City stage once again. And I couldn't be more excited. For this run at the Kraine, we have a new guest star joining us for each performance. For our first on September 6th, we have none other than the Magnet Theater's own Andy Moskowitz.

To celebrate our triumphant return, I shot and edited a few promo videos of our all-time favorite posts. And what better place to share my favorites than with you, my Crazytown friends?
