Thanks again to Crazytown and to my loyal reader(s?). Hehe. The last few weeks have been busy (mostly with a Fringe production) so I advent devoted the time I'd like to this blog. Still kinda burnt out.
Anyways, back to noir. Noir has lent itself to exaggeration over the years. This exaggeration makes it ripe for parody (I am rather fond of the term Disney Noir). And with parody comes a huge swath of actors from Bob Hope to Steve Martin. But alack, there's a new parody in town. 'Tis Brine Shrimp Gangsters.
What are brine shrimp? Check here. They are also known as Sea Monkeys . They live in the Great Salt Lake, which is where our play is set.
A heads up: freshwater kills brine shrimp. Just like a silver bullet and werewolves. Exactly. BSG had a staged reading last November and a production at The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival this summer.
For your reading pleasure, Brine Shrimp Gangsters!
